Shooting on Lee’s Summit Highway Leaves Two Injured

Shortly before 11 a.m. on September 3, 2026, a violent encounter unfolded in the southbound lanes of Missouri Highway 291 at the Chipman Road intersection in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. A dark gray 2015-2017 Ford F-150 pulled up behind a stopped maroon sedan, and multiple occupants exited the truck, brandishing firearms and firing into the vehicle.
