The precise cave coordinates are being withheld to protect the sites from vandalism.

Context: A Lost Ice-Age Corridor

During the last glacial maximum, sea levels fell dramatically, exposing a roughly 46-mile (76 km) land bridge between present-day Pembrokeshire in Wales and the southeast coast of Ireland near Rosslare. The exposed terrain would have supported large herbivores such as wild horses, mammoth, bison and reindeer, providing a seasonal resource base for mobile hunter-gatherer groups. Archaeologists already document modern humans in south Wales from 35,000–40,000 years ago, suggesting that groups could have followed these megafauna across the temporary corridor into Ireland.

Successful dating and broader site discovery could solidify the land-bridge scenario and further extend the timeline of human settlement on the island.
