In October 2014 Ukraine’s parliament approved the anti-corruption law that created NABU, a reform demanded by the IMF and EU, which later received €10 million for capacity building and FBI-led training. The agency’s 2023 record recovered UAH 4.7 billion, and today NABU and SAPO detained Sergey Kropyva and four others for laundering over 20 million hryvnias.
