Jetten Inaugurates CCS
- Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten inaugurated the EU’s largest carbon-capture plant at Yara’s Sluiskil site.
- The plant will capture up to 800,000 tonnes of CO2 annually.
- Captured CO2 will be shipped to Norway and stored 2.6 km beneath the seabed by Northern Lights.
- Climate Commissioner Wopke Hoekstra said Europe needs more CCS projects after a UN report warned the 1.5 °C limit is missed.
