Georgetown Students Discuss Charlie Kirk Look-Alike Contest for September 10 Anniversary

Screenshots shared with Fox News show a post on the student-only “Fizz” platform promoting a “Charlie Kirk look-alike contest” to mark the September 10 anniversary of the conservative activist’s assassination. The Turning Point USA (TPUSA) chapter at Georgetown responded by setting up a table with American flags, stickers and signs condemning the idea.

Charlie Kirk, founder of TPUSA, was assassinated in Utah in 2023. Within weeks, Georgetown students began circulating the contest idea on Fizz, an anonymous platform that requires a “@georgetown.edu” email address for access. The proposal also mentioned a parallel “Erika Kirk look-alike contest” and suggested that the Georgetown Chimes could perform a meme song titled “We Are Charlie Kirk.”

Heidi Sui, president of the Georgetown TPUSA chapter, told Fox News Digital that the concept was “deeply disturbing” and warned that celebrating a death “inflames rather than defuses” partisan divides. A Georgetown University spokesperson said the administration had observed no on-campus activity related to the posts and condemned the language as inconsistent with university values.
