Humanitarian agencies said about 1,800 families were displaced over two days.
More than 60 people, including civilians, were killed in Taiz province clashes, AFP reported.

Saudi Arabia began a coalition air campaign in Yemen in March 2015, supported by the United Arab Emirates and denounced by the United Nations, which logged over 5,000 sorties and roughly 2,000 civilian deaths that year. The conflict turned into a Saudi-Iran proxy, embedding civilian displacement. In September 2026 Saudi-backed forces and Iran-aligned Houthis fought near the Bab al-Mandeb, displacing 1,800 families, echoing the 2015 humanitarian crisis.
