KingStore Unveils Flagship Store After NIS 10 Million Renovation

9/9/2026, 12:18:48 PM

New Flagship Branch in Rosh Ha'ayin

KingStore has completed a major renovation of its central outlet in the Lev Ha'aretz industrial zone of Rosh Ha'ayin. The upgraded store occupies roughly 6,500 square meters and represents a NIS 10 million investment. The redesign positions the location as the chain’s flagship, showcasing a new retail concept that the company plans to roll out to all new branches opened over the next two years.

Expanded Product Range and Non-Kosher Positioning

Unlike many Israeli supermarkets, KingStore does not operate under kosher certification and remains open on Shabbat. The flagship store therefore offers a broad assortment of non-kosher items, including seafood, and highlights authentic Arab and Middle-Eastern foods such as Galilean dairy products, bakery goods from Arab-run bakeries, specialty spices and regional delicacies.

Integration of Advanced Shopping Technologies

The renovation introduced several digital solutions aimed at streamlining the shopping experience. Customers can use smart carts that track items in real time, while advanced accessibility systems improve navigation for shoppers with mobility needs. These technologies are presented as part of the chain’s effort to combine variety, convenience and competitive pricing in a modern supermarket environment.

Growth History and Future Market Plans

Founded in 2010 as a family-run business serving primarily northern Israeli and Arab communities, KingStore has expanded to about 30 locations nationwide, including sites in Beersheba, Tel Aviv and Rosh Ha'ayin. CEO Majdi Ketany has indicated that the flagship upgrade is a step toward entering the capital market, with the chain hoping to launch an initial public offering once the renovation phase is complete.
