North Korea Expands Enrichment
- North Korea built a new two-storey uranium enrichment facility at Yongbyon that can house up to 28 centrifuge cascades.
- The IAEA detected operational signs at an expanded annex of the Kangson enrichment site beginning in January 2026.
- IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi said the continued enrichment at Yongbyon and Kangson is a cause for serious concern.
