The city’s transportation master plan, slated for 2025, proposes widening Fallowfield Road from two to four lanes between Old Richmond and Moodie Drive to accommodate growing travel demand between Barrhaven and Kanata South. Brown added that staff will determine whether additional measures are warranted once the collision’s circumstances are fully understood. Work on the widening project has not yet begun and is not expected to be completed until after 2046 due to fiscal constraints.
