N.O.R.E. Sued Over 1999 Nightclub Assault Allegation

Carmen Bryan, a former finance officer at Def Jam affiliate Rush Management and mother of rapper Nas’s daughter, filed a civil complaint in New York on September 9 alleging that Victor James Santiago Jr.—the Queens-born rapper known as N.O.R.E.—sexually assaulted her at a Manhattan nightclub in May 1999 while promoting his sophomore album *Melvin Flynt – Da Hustler*.
