Protesters displayed Palestinian flags and placards reading “Complicit in genocide – resign” and “Stand up for Palestine.” In a statement read during the demonstration, organizers warned that welcoming Israeli political leadership could undermine Cyprus’s own security and the prospect of substantive negotiations on the Cyprus problem.
