Rawat Resigns
- Uttarakhand chief minister Harish Rawat resigned from two posts on September 12, 2026 after the Enforcement Directorate raided his assistant’s Dehradun home.
- The raids also hit homes of the Service Selection Commission chair, secretary, exam controller and a private computer agency owner, with officials alleging OMR answer sheets were altered for payment, compromising the 2016 exam.
- ED seized Rs 32 lakh cash, gold and 12 watches.
- Rawat called aide noble, ashamed if guilty.
