The first summit in Yekaterinburg on 16 June 2009 led to the 2014 Fortaleza pact that created the New Development Bank with $100 billion capital. In September 2026, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired the New Delhi summit, adopting a declaration to fund infrastructure and supply-chain resilience, echoing the 2009 agenda.
