Shepherds Rally Ban
- The EU extended the live-sheep export ban through year-end because of a Peste des Petits Ruminants outbreak.
- Around 2,000 Romanian shepherds and crop farmers rallied in Bucharest demanding the ban’s reversal.
- Crop growers protested a drought-aid cut from €100 to €19 per hectare, calling it insufficient.
- Interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan affirmed the right to peaceful protest but condemned the violence.
