Since Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022, Japan has supplied humanitarian, energy and political aid to Kyiv. In May, the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed Japan’s entry into NATO’s Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List (PURL), committing more than $14.6 million to fund procurement of essential military equipment for Ukraine.
