Restore Britain Campaigners Confronted by Anti-Racism Activists in Camden

Around 15 supporters of the far-right Restore Britain party were leafleting near Camden Town tube station on Saturday morning ahead of the Holborn and St Pancras by-election. Video shared by SUTR shows the activists surrounding the campaigners, some of whom sought refuge in a nearby vape shop. Rupert Lowe, MP and leader of Restore Britain, alleged that a campaigner was hospitalised after the encounter and that police were involved. The Daily Telegraph reported that a campaigner was accosted with scalding hot coffee. Metropolitan Police have not confirmed any details.

Restore Britain, founded by former football club chairman Rupert Lowe, fields candidates in the upcoming special by-election to replace former Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer in Holborn and St Pancras. The party’s platform includes mass deportations and other hard-line immigration policies. An earlier investigation by SUTR linked known far-right figures—Patrick McGinnis of the National Housing Party and former BNP official Michael Newland—to Restore Britain’s campaigning in London. McGinnis proposed Tyler Johnson’s nomination as the party’s candidate and has published video blaming “Jewish ideas” for Britain’s alleged decline.
