Earlier adventures included long-distance rides across Australia and Europe, and he travelled with only essential gear and a bottle of chocolate milk.
Investigation and Legal Review
Saline County Sheriff’s Office officials said the driver—a woman in her early eighties—reported she thought she had hit something, turned around to check, did not see anything, and continued home. The case has been forwarded to the Saline County Attorney’s Office for determination of possible charges. Undersheriff Brent Melander noted that Lanham was found unconscious at the side of the road and later transferred to intensive care.
