How the New Features Work
The Ask Music interface appears as a chat sheet accessed via a Gemini spark icon in the app’s top-right corner. Users can enter prompts such as “Create a mix,” “Discover artists,” or “Find podcasts,” and the system responds with curated selections drawn from YouTube Music’s catalog. Voice input is also supported. The Podcast Lineup feature presents a short spoken summary of suggested shows each week and can automatically play the highlighted episodes, offering a completely eyes-optional, hands-free experience.

YouTube Music’s catalog spans more than 300 million songs, including official recordings, remixes, live performances, covers, and DJ sets.
