Fatal Incident in Darlington Town Centre
On September 23, Durham Police were dispatched to an address on Parkgate in Darlington town centre at approximately 21:15 BST. Responding officers discovered a woman, believed to be in her 40s, who had been pronounced dead at the scene. At the time of reporting, formal identification of the victim had not been completed.

Two men were taken into custody in connection with the death. A 44-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder, and a 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. Both suspects remain in police custody while inquiries continue.
