In early July, 32-year-old Michaela Grace Coy, a mobile wedding hair-and-makeup professional, counselor, and homeless-charity volunteer living in Australia, noticed a painful lump near the bridge of her nose. An initial CT scan revealed a chronic fracture that had likely existed for six to twelve months. Subsequent MRI imaging led an ENT specialist to suspect blocked mucus, and Coy was scheduled for nasal surgery in August.
