Police Investigation
Raipur Circle Officer Vandana Verma announced that three police teams have been formed to examine the CCTV footage, trace the vehicle and locate the accused. The case has been registered under sections 126(2) (wrongful restraint), 140 (kidnapping) and 62 (attempt to commit an offence punishable with imprisonment) of the Indian Penal Code. On September 25, police reiterated that dedicated teams were deployed and expressed confidence that the perpetrators would be arrested within the next two days.
