Anniversary Models Unveiled at Boxerfest
Subaru of America introduced two limited-production anniversary editions at Boxerfest 2026 in York, Pennsylvania. The 2027 Subaru WRX GD25 and 2027 Subaru BRZ ZC15 carry nameplates that reference the chassis codes (“GD” and “ZC”) of the models when they first arrived in the United States 25 and 15 years earlier.
Performance Upgrades and Design Details
The WRX GD25 is painted exclusively in World Rally Blue and sits on gold-finished 19-inch alloy wheels. It receives uprated Brembo brakes with gold-painted calipers, Bridgestone Potenza S007 tires, a flexible strut-tower bar, stiffer springs, revised damping, and a dry carbon-fiber swan-neck rear wing sourced from Subaru Tecnica International and previously used on Travis Pastrana’s WRX ARA25L rally car. Power comes from a 2.4-liter turbocharged SUBARU BOXER® engine delivering 271 hp, paired with Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and a 6-speed manual transmission equipped with an STI short shifter. Inside, Recaro seats feature black Ultrasuede inserts with red stitching and an STI shift knob.
The BRZ ZC15 is finished in exclusive Ceramic White with matte bronze wheels, gold-painted Brembo calipers, bronze side-sill decals, a black deck-lid spoiler, and a flexible V-bar under the hood. It is powered by a 2.4-liter, 228-hp SUBARU BOXER® engine driving the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual gearbox. Interior touches include black leather upholstery, Bordeaux-red inserts, and an “ZC15” anniversary plaque.
Production Limits and Availability
Subaru will produce 350 units of the WRX GD25 and 300 units of the BRZ ZC15. The WRX is slated for delivery in summer 2027, while the BRZ is expected to arrive early in 2027.

William Stokes, car-line planning manager for Subaru of America, said the models honor the vehicles’ performance heritage and rally-ready pedigree, noting that the WRX’s wing is the same component used on the ARA Championship-winning ARA25L and that the BRZ reflects the brand’s long-running, accessible sports-car ethos.
