Suspect and Legal Proceedings
Police identified 36-year-old Edward Tucker of Fresno as the shooter. On Sunday, Tucker was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on homicide charges and was deemed ineligible for bail. Ward believes Cromwell was attempting to leave Tucker at the time of the attack and expressed uncertainty about how Tucker located her at the park.
