iOS 27.2 Brings New Group FaceTime, Podcast, and TV Features to iPhone

Apple’s latest software release, iOS 27.0.1, arrived recently, and the company is already preparing the next incremental update, iOS 27.2. According to Apple’s own preview information, the forthcoming version will add three notable capabilities: an expanded Dual Capture mode for Group FaceTime calls, a redesigned “Up Next” queue in the Apple Podcasts app, and user-profile support in the Apple TV app on iPhone.

Dual Capture, introduced in iOS 27, lets users show both front- and rear-camera views simultaneously during a call. In the upcoming iOS 27.2, Apple will enable this functionality for Group FaceTime sessions, allowing participants to flip to the back camera while keeping the front camera active. The feature is limited to compatible iPhone models, and activation is performed with a new “Flip” button.
