On a Tuesday in early September, 34-year-old B Sirisha, a bank customer-care executive from Nagasamudram in Vikarabad district, was found dead inside room No. 103 of the Gokul Pride OYO hotel in SR Nagar, Hyderabad. Hotel staff rang the doorbell repeatedly after the man staying with her left the premises at about 3:30 a.m. and reported that Sirisha would check out after breakfast. When there was no response until noon, staff called police, who opened the room with a spare key in their presence and discovered Sirisha lying on the bed with a food plate beside her.

Sirisha and the 38-year-old man identified as A Srinivas, a native of Obulapur village in the same district, had been in a relationship for several weeks. Srinivas had been staying at the hotel since September 9, while Sirisha checked into his room on September 24. Both allegedly presented falsified Aadhaar identity cards at check-in, using the aliases “Ganesh” (Srinivas) and “Durga” (Sirisha). The couple was recorded as staying in Room No. 10, according to police.

He noted that the suspect left the hotel early, informing staff that Sirisha would depart after breakfast, and that the police have formed special teams to trace Srinivas at his village, bus stations, and railway stations. The investigation continues with forensic analysis to determine the exact cause of death.
