The crisis prompted Thai Airways to cancel about 30 % of flights and the Thai Air Force to deploy 69 ground personnel, while the cabinet approved a separate 160-billion-baht, eight-year flood-defense project.
Authorities reported the death toll reached 23 nationwide, four in Bangkok, and 500,000 households in 27 provinces affected.

Critics blamed slow warnings and fragmented agency coordination for hampering the overall flood response.
