The 1923 Beer Hall Putsch in Munich, where Adolf Hitler and about 600 SA stormed the Bürgerbräukeller on 8 November and were crushed by Bavarian police the next day, ended with fifteen Nazis killed and a five-year treason sentence for Hitler, of which he served nine months.
