History

Historical Context

The Patriots’ 2007 season, the first team since the 1972 Dolphins to finish a 16-game regular season undefeated (16-0, 589 points, Tom Brady’s 50 TD passes), added Randy Moss and Wes Welker after the Spygate scandal. That offensive model contrasts with rookie Drake Maye’s 58.6 rating and six interceptions, prompting veteran Rob Gronkowski to demand A.J. Brown’s return for better receiver depth.
