History

Historical Context

After a decade of losing seasons, the St. Louis Rams shocked the league in 1999, turning a preseason loss of starter Trent Green into a 13-3 record and a Super Bowl XXXIV win on Jan 30 2000 under coach Dick Vermeil. Warner’s 41 touchdown passes and the “Greatest Show on Turf” proved depth could overcome injuries—a challenge the Rams again face this season.
