The recalled items were sold in paperboard cartons at every Stewart’s Shops location in New York, Vermont, and New Hampshire from July 17 through October 2. Both flavors are ready-to-eat, frozen ice cream with a shelf life of approximately seven months. Product identifiers include UPC 0 82086 44371 1 for Heavenly Medley and UPC 0 82086 44377 3 for Vanilla-Chocolate-Strawberry. No injuries or illnesses have been reported in connection with the potential metal contamination.

Stewart’s Shops Corp. stated that the recall was initiated after the metal object was found and that the company is cooperating with the FDA throughout the process. The FDA’s role is limited to being informed of the recall; no regulatory action beyond acknowledgment has been reported.

Customers who purchased either flavor are instructed not to consume the product and to return the unopened cartons to any Stewart’s Shops outlet for a full refund.
