History

Historical Context

Spain’s breakthrough came at Euro 2008, hosted by Austria and Switzerland (7–29 June 2008), when Luis Aragonés guided La Roja to a 1-0 win over Germany in Vienna. The victory gave Spain its first major final in 24 years and made them the second nation to win all group matches and the tournament unbeaten. That legacy fuels expectations for today’s squad under Luis de la Fuente.
