History

Historical Context

Washington’s 2024 Commanders, led by Dan Quinn, stumble in Week 4, echoing the franchise’s 2001 turmoil when owner Daniel Snyder dismissed Marty Schottenheimer. The pattern of mid-season coaching turnover, seen from the Redskins era through the 2022 rebranding to Commanders, recalls a team historically once captured three Super Bowls (1982, 1987, 1991).
