Italy Reinstates Holiday

- President Sergio Mattarella addressed the nation from the Sacred Convent’s loggia during the celebrations.
- More than 3,000 pilgrims gathered in Assisi for Masses, processions and cultural events.
- The “Saint Francis at the Porziuncola” exhibition opened in the Porziuncola Museum, running until 25 Oct 2026.
