Coca-Cola Unveils 2027 Flavor Expansion Across Its Portfolio

By Drooid · · How we work

Coca-Cola Announces 2027 Flavor Lineup

On October 5, 2026, Coca-Cola disclosed a series of new fruit-inspired products slated for launch throughout 2027. The rollout will be highlighted at the National Association of Convenience Stores event in Las Vegas, Nevada. The company said the additions span its flagship Coca-Cola soda, Fairlife, Mr. Pibb, Powerade and Topo Chico brands, marking the first new flavors for several lines in almost a decade.

Regional Prebiotic Test

Coca-Cola is also conducting a “regional test-and-learn” of prebiotic versions of Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, Sprite Zero Sugar and Fresca. Each beverage will contain six grams of prebiotic fiber and zero sugar, with limited distribution in parts of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania beginning in late October 2026. Shakir Moin, president of marketing, North America for Coca-Cola, said the tests reflect evolving consumer demand for functional beverages and expanded choice.

New Flavors Across Core Brands

  • Coca-Cola: Cherry Lime (February 2027) and Strawberry Float (summer 2027), both offered in full-sugar and zero-sugar formats.
  • Powerade: Watermelon and Lemon-Lime Zero Sugar, launching in January 2027.
  • Mr. Pibb: “Black-Current,” a limited-time berry-forward flavor featuring blackberry and black-currant, arriving in spring 2027 with 54 mg of caffeine.
  • Topo Chico: Pineapple-Coconut flavor debuting in February 2027, adding to an existing fruit-forward sparkling water lineup.
  • Fairlife Core Power protein shakes: Banana and Strawberry flavors introduced in January 2027; the banana variant will be sold in 26-gram and 42-gram protein versions, while the strawberry will be 26 grams.

Implications for the Beverage Market

The breadth of the 2027 introductions underscores Coca-Cola’s strategy to diversify taste profiles while testing functional ingredients such as prebiotic fiber. By offering both sugar and zero-sugar options across multiple brands, the company aims to capture a wider range of consumer moments and respond to health-focused trends without abandoning its traditional flavor heritage. The regional prebiotic trials may inform broader rollout decisions, potentially setting a new standard for functional sodas in the U.S. market.
