Philadelphia Home Tied to Seven Missing Women Under Ongoing Probe
By Drooid · · How we work
Investigation Overview
Philadelphia police have returned to a house in the Olney neighborhood that formerly belonged to the late pornographer Raymond “RC” Horsch. Hazmat crews removed “glass vials,” a vacuum cleaner, a rowing machine and other items while investigators continue to catalog more than a million pieces of digital evidence recovered from the property. Police describe the residence as a “house of horrors” and say the evidence appears linked to seven separate missing-woman cases. The investigation remains active, with additional information to be released as appropriate.
Identified Missing Women
Authorities have publicly identified four of the women seen in the recovered videos. Maribel Fresses, 26, vanished in 2018, and Gabrielle Aramando, 27, were identified early in the probe. A woman accompanying Eugene Horsch at the time of his arrest carried identification for Blair Tonzelli, 38, who was last seen in February 2023. Additional missing persons include Amy McHale, 54, Horsch’s ex-wife who was last seen on June 13, 2016, and Nicole “Nikki” Fusaro, 34, who disappeared near Kensington and Allegheny Avenue in July 2019. Police note that dozens of other individuals appear in the images, though most have not been publicly named.
Background on Raymond Horsch
Raymond Horsch, who died at age 82 last year, was a convicted methamphetamine producer and author of sexually explicit, violent literature. His 2014 book *Empathy* contains a chapter describing the dissolution of a murdered woman’s body with boiling chemicals. Horsch’s son, Eugene Horsch, 44, was arrested on drug, firearms and forgery charges; during that arrest a woman with him possessed an ID linked to one of the missing women. Eugene has not been charged in connection with the missing-woman cases.
Expert Commentary
Forensic psychologist Dr. Kris Mohandie, a board-certified specialist, warned that the elder Horsch’s involvement in the pornographic industry could indicate a profit-driven network for producing and distributing “snuff films.” She suggested that the sadistic motives typical of serial murders might be compounded by financial incentives.
Current Status
Excavation crews have searched the property’s exterior, including surrounding sewers, for additional evidence. Police continue to analyze the extensive digital material, and investigators say the probe could uncover a larger network behind the alleged snuff-film operation. Further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
