Dalaroo Metals’ First-Pass Gold Strike Boosts Côte d’Ivoire Project

Core Discovery at Bondoukou Gold Ridge
Dalaroo Metals reported that the second hole of its maiden reverse-circulation (RC) program at the Wilfred target returned an 18-metre interval grading 7.31 g/t gold, including a richer 12-metre core at 8.66 g/t. A deeper zone in the same hole delivered a further 16 metre interval at 1.46 g/t, and the first hole yielded 23 metre of gold mineralisation from surface. These results come from only two of an initial 24-hole, 4,200-metre orientation program that will expand into a 102-hole, 12,000-metre RC campaign across the 7-km-long Gold Ridge corridor.
Geological Context & Exploration Strategy
The high-grade zone lies within strongly silicified volcaniclastic rocks intersected by quartz-sulphide veins and pyrite, matching a prominent magnetic anomaly that initially attracted Dalaroo to the area. Prior mapping, soil sampling and auger drilling identified a 7 km gold-in-soil anomaly with a surface peak assay of 23.26 g/t gold. The scissor-style drilling pattern, with holes from opposing directions, is intended to delineate the geometry of the mineralised structures and reduce the risk of parallel drilling.
Market Reaction and Share Performance
Following the release of the assay data, Dalaroo’s shares surged 67 % to an early high of 12.5 cents, representing the company’s highest turnover in almost a year. The rapid price movement reflects investor optimism about the potential to develop a significant new gold resource in the Birimian greenstone belt, which already hosts multi-million-ounce deposits such as Aurum Resources’ 3.22-million-ounce Boundiali and Resolute Mining’s 11.5-million-ounce Syama project.
Official Response and Future Drilling Plans
Chief executive officer John Morgan said the results confirm that the drill bit is positioned in the right locations and provide a strong platform for further work. The company plans to continue drilling on day-and-night shifts, with samples from the next two holes slated for laboratory analysis in early November. Dalaroo expects a steady flow of additional assay results as the broader 12,000-metre program progresses across the Wilfred, Mag and Ali prospects.
Verbatim Quotes
- “This is the start we were hoping for. Our very first drill holes at Wilfred have delivered 18 metres at 7.31 grams per tonne gold, including 12 metres at 8.66 grams per tonne, with a second 16-metre zone deeper in the same hole and 23 metres of gold from surface.” — John Morgan, metals chief executive
