History

Historical Context

George W. Bush’s 2004 re-election campaign used a “Heart and Soul of America” tour that stopped at venues such as a Texas Longhorns football game to rally swing-state voters, a tactic highlighted after his September 2 nomination and the November 2 election. Donald Trump echoed this approach in 2024, scheduling rallies at college games like Alabama-Georgia to mobilize male voters.
