Microsoft visa abuse
- U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Oct. 8, 2026 that Microsoft and Adobe were suspended from the PERM green-card program.
- The ban also stops processing existing green-card applications, blocks new filings, and adds outsourcing firms Cognizant, Infosys, Tata, Wipro, HCO and Capgemini.
- JD Vance said Microsoft laid off 6,000, received 6,300 H-1B visas and ~3,000 green cards.
