Stabbing Incident in Borough Green

On the morning of Thursday 8 October 2026, Kent Police were dispatched to a domestic incident at a private residence on Sevenoaks Road in the village of Borough Green, Kent, at approximately 07:40 BST. Officers encountered two men with stab wounds and a woman with minor arm injuries.

Police Response and Search Operations

Kent Police deployed armed officers, a National Police Air Service helicopter, and at least six police vehicles to cordon the area from the Western Road roundabout to Rock Road. Crime-scene investigators in white forensic suits arrived at about 11:10 BST. The force later expanded the response, with reports of around ten armed-response vehicles and a continued aerial search. The suspect remained at large until an arrest was made at 18:25 on Walworth Road in London, after which the individual was taken into custody.

Injuries and Victims

One male victim was transported to a London hospital with injuries described as life-threatening, while the second male victim was taken to a local hospital. The female victim sustained minor injuries to her arm and was treated locally.

Community Reaction

Local resident Mike Taylor of Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council noted that serious incidents are rare in the area, describing the usual concerns as traffic and low-level anti-social behaviour. Nearby residents reported extensive police presence, a hovering helicopter, and the closure of Sevenoaks Road for several hours.

Investigation Status

Kent Police continue to investigate the domestic stabbing and have urged anyone with information to contact them, referencing incident number 08-0191. The search for additional leads remains ongoing, and the suspect’s motive has not been disclosed.
