History

Historical Context

In 1998 Dennis Green’s Vikings posted a 15-1 record, scoring a league-record 556 points while rookie Randy Moss caught 17 touchdown passes. That depth-first philosophy resurfaced this season as the 2024 squad leans on practice-squad signings—Odell Beckham Jr. for the Saints game—while star receiver Justin Jefferson recovers from an ankle injury.
