History

Historical Context

In 1998 Arsenal, guided by Arsène Wenger, secured the Premier League with a 4-0 victory over Everton, winning the title by a single point and becoming the first club other than Manchester United or Blackburn to claim the league since 1991. That reputation for late-goal heroics reappeared in today’s 2-1 comeback against Leeds, again drawing Arsenal level with Manchester City in the 2023-24 race.
