History

Historical Context

In 2005 the Minnesota Vikings traded star receiver Randy Moss to the New England Patriots for a fifth-round pick (later a 2012 seventh-round selection), a deal that helped New England achieve a 16-0 regular season. That precedent of swapping elite receivers for draft capital now guides the Arizona Cardinals, who seek a second-round pick and compensation for Marvin Harrison Jr., with the Houston Texans also interested.
