History

Historical Context

Arsenal’s historic ‘Invincibles’ campaign culminated in May 2004 when the club completed the Premier League season unbeaten. Manager Arsène Wenger oversaw 49 consecutive unbeaten matches, a record that eclipsed Manchester United’s 1998-99 treble-winning run by ten games. Rangers’ six-game winning streak mirrors Arsenal’s early-season surge, as both clubs relied on prolific forwards—Thierry Henry then, Ryan Naderi now—to sustain momentum. Such parallels underscore how sustained success fuels title challenges, prompting clubs to prioritize squad depth and tactical adjustments for forthcoming championship phases.
