History

Historical Context

Kid Rock’s political visibility rose in 2004 after his Super Bowl XXXVIII show and his January 2005 performance at George W. Bush’s inauguration, aligning with the Republican National Convention’s massive protest turnout. The Madison Square Garden convention hosted about 2,509 delegates, a shift that frames his 2026 Halfway 2 Jesus album featuring Eminem and underscored the growing blend of celebrity and partisan spectacle.
