The FIR alleges that, during a police inspection of Cavore Bar and Restaurant on Residency Road between 1 a.m. and 1:30 a.m., the group used foul language, assaulted Police Inspector Arun Salunke of the Central Crime Branch’s Special Enquiry Wing, and threatened other officers, thereby obstructing the police from performing their duties. The complainant, Inspector Salunke, reported that he and his team were acting on directions from the Bengaluru City Police Commissioner to check identity cards and verify ages of patrons.
