History

Historical Context

In 1982 the Milwaukee Brewers won their only American League pennant, losing a seven-game World Series to the St. Louis Cardinals. After a 12-year playoff drought, they returned to the postseason and enjoy a fourth consecutive berth. Facing the Los Angeles Dodgers—on a 14-season postseason streak—in the 2024 NLCS, a 7-4 Game 2 win echoes the momentum that once carried Milwaukee to its lone World Series.
