History

Historical Context

In 1999 NATO launched a 78-day air campaign against Yugoslavia that crippled communications and knocked out about 78 % of Serbia’s electricity grid with roughly 2,000 precision bombs. Ukrainian drones now strike Yandex’s Vladimir and Sberbank’s Balakovo data centres, echoing those tactics to disrupt Russian digital services and spur hardened cyber-infrastructure investments.
