Overview of the LinkedIn Israel Top Startups List

LinkedIn, the world’s largest business-social network with roughly 1.3 billion users, published its latest “Top Startups” list for Israel on Wednesday. Every company on the list is privately held, employs at least 30 full-time staff, is no older than seven years, and maintains its headquarters in Israel. The ranking is intended to signal quality to job seekers and corporate partners.

Eligibility and Ranking Methodology

LinkedIn builds the list from user-generated data, weighing four criteria: (1) workforce growth, (2) interest expressed by job seekers, (3) interaction with the company’s LinkedIn page, and the ability to attract talent from major tech firms such as Google or Microsoft. Startups that reduced their headcount by 10 % or more between July 1 2025 and the list’s launch were excluded from the calculation, according to LinkedIn’s own reporting.

Companies in the Top Ten

The top spot went to cyber-security startup Oak, which launched in July of this year and secured a $60 million seed round from Greylock, Accel and CRV. doubleAI, founded by Amnon Shashua in 2023, placed second with its AI systems that replicate rare expertise. Third was Wonderful, offering an AI-based operating system for large-scale automation. The remaining positions featured Kela, Echo, Cyera, Notch, Mate, Eon, Port, and others. Mate Security, ranked eighth, had raised about $50 million before its launch and counts veterans from Wiz, Axonius, Meta and Microsoft among its staff.

Impact on Recruitment and Funding

Landing in LinkedIn’s top-10 is described as a “seal of quality” that helps startups attract talent, lower recruitment costs, and strengthen reputation with non-tech corporate giants. Visibility on the list can also ease future financing rounds by signaling market confidence to investors.

Official Statements & Responses

Asaf Wiener, CEO of Mate Security, expressed satisfaction with the company’s inclusion, noting that the ranking reflects the firm’s infrastructure that equips employees with context and decision-making autonomy. Mate’s founders similarly argued that the placement underscores their platform’s ability to streamline security-team workflows, allowing analysts to focus on complex threats. Both statements were conveyed in interviews with local media outlets.
