Keion White Shooting Leads to Multi-State Arrests in Operation D-Line

By Drooid · · How we work

Core Event: Super Bowl Party Shooting

On the morning of February 9, San Francisco 49ers defensive end Keion White was wounded in the ankle after gunfire erupted in the VIP area of the Dahlia Lounge on Mission Street. Police say the incident followed a verbal dispute involving the player and members of rapper Lil Baby’s entourage. White was taken to a local hospital, underwent surgery and has returned to active status with the 49ers.

Investigation & Arrests

A month-long probe dubbed “Operation D-Line” mobilized more than 250 law-enforcement personnel and resulted in the service of over 50 search warrants across several states. In early October, four suspects were taken into custody in four jurisdictions:

  • Gregory Walker, 36, of Mountain House, arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department and charged with assault with a semi-automatic firearm and multiple felon-in-possession offenses.
  • Curtis Green, 35, of Irvine, arrested by Irvine police and charged with misdemeanor brandishing of a firearm and unlawful possession of a concealed, loaded weapon.
  • Marquis Davis, 38, of Atlanta, arrested by Atlanta police; a search of his home uncovered large quantities of narcotics and a firearm.
  • Antoine Washington, 36, of Stockton, arrested by the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office; officers recovered a loaded gun, more than 120 oxycodone pills and cash.

The two suspects apprehended in Atlanta and Stockton remain outside San Francisco and are expected to be transferred to face charges there.

Data & Statistics

The coordinated arrests yielded the following seized items, as reported by officials:

  • Three firearms.
  • Approximately $7,000 in cash.
  • 3,842 g of fentanyl, 1,026 g of methamphetamine, 979 g of cocaine, 820 g of MDMA.
  • 120 oxycodone pills.

These quantities were recovered from the homes of Davis and Washington; no weapons or drugs were reported seized from Walker or Green.

Official Statements & Responses

San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins announced that the district attorney’s office has filed a motion to keep Walker in custody, citing a public-safety risk. She added, “We will not tolerate any type of violence in our city, but certainly not gun violence.”

On-the-Ground Reports

An eyewitness from White’s party recounted climbing stairs to request assistance when the confrontation escalated. The witness heard two gunshots and found White bleeding from his left leg. Police entered the club to find several topless entertainers collecting cash strewn across the floor.
