History

Historical Context

In 2011 the Vikings placed Adrian Peterson on injured reserve after a torn ACL and MCL, ending a season that began with a $96 million, seven-year contract. His 2012 comeback produced a 2,097-yard MVP season, proving teams can count on stars returning from knee injuries. The 2025 trade of Micah Parsons to Green Bay and his PUP-list spot repeats this payroll-impact pattern.
